I'm Caroline. I was born and raised in Houston, TX and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Studio Art. Now I’m back here in Houston loving being able to make my passion a career.

A work of art is incredible with its power to entertain and start conversation at the same time. It's the universal language that has always intrigued and fascinated me; that in one same painting we can encounter social commentary coalesced with witty humor. Keeps it real.

I am drawn to exploring the fast and loud within our society – there is beauty to be seen in both the good and bad aspects of our culture. I enjoy creating works that exhibit the serene figurative aspects of classical painting, interrupted by a stark breach of the absurdly contemporary. For me, the

juxtaposition of the classical with the contemporary sparks an amusing dialog between primal nature and the fast-paced colorful modernism of our world today. Ultimately, my goal is to bring something fresh into existence that is both fun and thought provoking for viewers to engage with.

To be quite frank, Sir Francis here said it best:

“I paint for myself. I don't know how to do anything else, anyway. Also I have to earn my
living, and occupy myself.”  - Francis Bacon
